Live GPS Tracking
How the Live Tracking Works »
George is carrying a UTrackIT unit that receives his exact location via GPS satellite technology. Then, together with his heart-rate data that is received from the belt he wears around his chest, it is uploaded over GPRS mobile technology to the Internet and made available on this map for you to follow him... There are three views available:
Road: basic road map with key features like towns, rivers, etc
Aerial: satellite photographs provide good reference as to the natural environment
Hybrid: this overlays the road map info over the satellite photographs
What if there's no data?
If you are not seeing a position or it is old data, it may be because:

1. They are outside of mobile coverage
2. They haven't moved for a while
3. It is a rest day

The "BRING IT ON" Campaign »

Commencing 15 August 2010, George Scola [co-founder of the Stroke Survivors Foundation] will be walking 2500km from Beit Bridge to Cape Point in an effort to raise funds for the foundation as well as the highlight the risks of stroke and what can be done in order to help prevent them.

Having survived a stroke in 2007, George should probably not be undertaking this challenge... but, driven to help make a difference and demonstrate that anything can be overcome, he is tackling the journey head-on.

Accompanied by Ray Chaplin [an advenutrer who completed the route earlier in 2010], George will be visiting communities, hospitals, clinics and other stroke survivors along the way.
